The Cancer Center at Providence is staffed with nine medical oncologists and two radiation oncologists. These physicians are supported by a dedicated team of professional associates, offering patients a full range of chemotherapy and radiation therapy services.

Compassionate, supportive care

As a patient of The Cancer Center, you will be assigned a local oncology nurse advocate to help you with appointments, financial assistance, community resources and any other needs you may have during or after your treatment.

Community Clinical Oncology Program

Through the Gulf Coast Minority Based Community Clinical Oncology Program (MB-CCOP), Providence Hospital is able to offer people in our community access to the newest forms of cancer treatment developed through clinical research. MB-CCOP is federally funded through the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and is open to minority and non-minority patients. Providence has the only MB-CCOP program in Alabama and one of only thirteen in the country.
