Wound Care Center and Hyperbaric Medicine

Do you have a wound that just won't heal? Turn to Providence.

Providence Hospital Wound Care Center and Hyperbaric Medicine offers specialized equipment, advanced technology and highly trained staff for the management of complex problem wounds.  We offer comprehensive patient wound care using the latest in modern medical technology, including three hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

Under the medical direction of Dr. David Warren, a general surgeon with more than thirty years of experience in wound management, the Wound Care Center is able to treat a broad spectrum of patients. The Center’s professional clinical staff provides multidisciplinary services including:

  • Specialized antibiotic dressings
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Physician-monitored hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Diabetes leg and foot ulcer care
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Nutrition counseling/education/prevention
  • Antibiotic therapy
  • Tissue oxygenation studies

Our staff is able to help patients with a variety of conditions, including diabetic foot or leg ulcers, lower leg ulcers due to poor circulation, chronic soft tissue infections, chronic bone infections, radiation tissue damage and preservation of skin grafts and flaps.  As part of its comprehensive approach to healing, the Center treats the whole patient, not just the wound, and  collaborates closely with referring physicians.  We emphasize patient education and nutritional counseling, as part of a treatment plan designed to prevent recurrence.
